Override Colors in a Color Scheme

If you like a color scheme but want to change some colors in it without editing the file, here's how. I use this to change the background color and MatchParen highlight that Apprentice uses. Add something like the following to your ~/.vimrc :

 augroup vimrc
   autocmd ColorScheme * highlight Normal ctermbg=NONE guifg=lightgrey guibg=black | highlight MatchParen cterm=bold ctermfg=red ctermbg=NONE gui=bold guifg=red guibg=NONE
 augroup END
