SMTP authentication[]
If you want send mails with SMTP authentication, you will have to install the Authen::SASL package for Perl (was not included in my ActivePerl version for Windows).
Authen-SASL can be downloaded [http://search.cpan.org/dist/Authen-SASL/lib/Authen/SASL/Perl.pod here].
You do not have to install the package using the makefile, copying the content to your perl path is enough to make SMTP authentication work. --September 5, 2012
