At least for me vim-browser is already useful and will steadily replace w3m/lynx/elinks for most documentation i view. When i decided i was missing too many features in the formerly named browsers i was searching for this script and found out 2 days ago. It's awesome and very, very useful even when old.
I dream of being able to view pictures-links like one can do with lynx, otherwise already nearly perfect.
vim-browser does it already, i just overlooked.
