I have to say, this plugin is very experimental. I'm not sure it will help many people. It works for me, but I should test it with much more projects. If you can give me any feedback it will motivate me to work on it more.
Work on versions for the Gedit and Geany editors are in progress. Using graphics for rendering CodeUpstairs layers is probably more user friendly and intuitive. --April 1, 2013

I trimmed the initial comments because they seemed to be referring to different versions of the plugin? At any rate, this page only needs to be concerned with the most recent release.
