Hi Broofa, welcome to the Vim Tips wiki! Thanks for your edit to the Improved Javascript Indent script for Vim page. It's always great to see new contributors. This is an automated message; somebody may drop a message for you here in the next day or two with any comments or suggestions, but until then keep up the good work, and don't be afraid to be bold!

Please leave a message on my talk page if I can help with anything. -- JohnBeckett (Talk) 23:52, March 28, 2010

Hi, Broofa. You recently raised some concerns with our handling of new tips. Please see my response on John Beckett's page. One of our oddities here compared to other wikis is that we have a loosly established convention of keeping discussions in one place rather than going back and forth between user talk pages. --Fritzophrenic 17:22, March 30, 2010 (UTC)

Javascript indent script Edit

I'm wondering how best to handle your Improved Javascript Indent script for Vim tip. Would you be prepared to contribute the script as the official $VIMRUNTIME/indent/javascript.vim file? That simply means that you would add your contact information (an email address, possibly slightly obfuscated) to the script, then email it to Bram. See other files in the $VIMRUNTIME/indent directory for examples. If people have trouble with the script, they would email you, and you would (if necessary) maintain the script and send updates to Bram. On the vim_use mailing list, I have asked for confirmation that there is no official Javascript indent script, and whether anyone would like to take over the job. Past experience suggests there won't be any positive response, and I'm hoping you will make the script official yourself. JohnBeckett 09:48, May 18, 2010 (UTC)
