Willkommen, bienvenue, welcome, welkomEdit
Welcome to the Vim tips wiki! We hope you can make continuing contributions of articles and/or discussion and other improvements.
If you are new to Wikia or wikis in general, be sure to visit the "Community portal" for an outline of some of the main parts of the site and a link to pages that tell you how to edit.
Do keep an eye on the "recent changes" page, where all edits and their authors (anonymous or signed-in) are listed. Bookmark it, maybe. (And help delete spam - unpleasant but a fact of life.)
Hi Dennis, Thanks for editing tip 750 Underline using dashes automatically. Many people dash into the vim_use mailing list and don't give anything back here, so I'm glad you took the trouble.
Now that I've read the page, I feel I might try and do something about the Ctrl-V stuff – at least mention that Windows users would probably need Ctrl-Q. I'm a bit annoyed because I tried a couple of quick things to remove the need for Ctrl-V and can't get it to work reliably. I might post to vim_use and ask for help.
You might like to create your user page (can be very simple, perhaps just say how long you've used Vim – see Special:Listusers for some ideas). You are welcome to put any to-do or other notes related to Vim or the wiki under your user page. --JohnBeckett 11:17, 12 April 2008 (UTC)
