Welcome to the Vim Tips wiki! We hope you can help improve the articles by fixing typos, adding comments (at the bottom of each tip page), rewriting tips, joining in discussions, or making other improvements.
Be sure to visit the community portal for information about our site, with links to how to pages.
Keep an eye on recent changes to check progress.

Hi, I noticed your comments and thought I would just let you know that we generally avoid article talk pages because there is little activity here, and we prefer to focus on the tips. Accordingly, we don't archive comments about tips – we aim to remove most comments after incorporating useful points into the tip itself. We encourage comments in the "Comments" section, but eventually we hope they will be removed. This practice means we only need to view and edit one page rather than two. See the guidelines if interested in some old thoughts. Also, are you sure you want to put your unobfuscated email address on your user page? Anyone who registers an account here can email you by clicking "E-mail this user" in the sidebar on your user page (well, not on your user page because it looks like you did not enable email – you should, you will not get any spam). If you have any questions, feel free to reply here (I review all edits on the wiki). Welcome to the Vim wiki! JohnBeckett 10:37, August 5, 2010 (UTC)
thanks for your info Edit
I will try to delete my comments on that talk page, and merge useful stuff into the main tip page.
About my email address on my User Page, I will keep it(for now at least), but thanks for your reminder anyway.
Feels great to be here and cheers
