Hi JoeyTwiddle, welcome to the Vim Tips wiki! Thanks for your edit to the Copy and paste between sessions using a temporary file page. It's always great to see new contributors. This is an automated message; somebody may drop a message for you here in the next day or two with any comments or suggestions, but until then keep up the good work, and don't be afraid to be bold!

Please leave a message on my talk page if I can help with anything. -- JohnBeckett (Talk) 08:35, 16 June 2009

Edit filter Edit

I'm sorry that your attempt to create a new tip was stopped by our edit filter that decided the content was spam. We have had very bad attacks from spambots and had to setup an aggressive filter to block them. The filter has prevented over 600 spam pages being added to the wiki, so it's been very worthwhile. I don't want to explain the details of how the filter operates in public, but if you wanted to try again, please use a title like "Fold blocks of lines". Don't worry that the title does not precisely describe the tip: it's better to be generic as the tip may evolve. If you don't have the text of the tip, I can reconstruct it. Reply here if you want any assistance. Sorry again, and happy Vimming! JohnBeckett (talk) 10:34, August 16, 2013 (UTC)
