Hi Perlsomian, welcome to the Vim Tips wiki! Thanks for your edit to the Best Vim Tips page. It's always great to see new contributors. This is an automated message; somebody may drop a message for you here in the next day or two with any comments or suggestions, but until then keep up the good work, and don't be afraid to be bold!

Please leave a message on my talk page if I can help with anything. -- Fritzophrenic (Talk) 22:51, 8 February 2010

Hi Perlsomian. The above message is sincere but automated. This is a real message: welcome! (although you have been here before). I'm just letting you know that I have replied to your comment at User talk:Fritzophrenic. JohnBeckett 01:52, February 9, 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for speaking up!Edit

I'm not sure if you noticed, but we kept Append_output_of_an_external_command mostly due to the interest shown in the tip on its "new tip" discussion (quite some time ago now). Thanks for speaking up, I think it is now a good addition to the getting started category. --Fritzophrenic 02:35, April 18, 2011 (UTC)

Yes, and I am glad that there was usefulness found in itEdit

With one thing and another, while I've been aware of your message, Fritzophrenic, I haven't found time to reply, regretfully. Thanks for the note. The node in question has certainly evolved ... --Perlsomian 07:09, January 14, 2012 (UTC)

Why won't the notification that I have "new messages" go away? Months after reading (and replying to Fritzophrenic). it just keeps coming back from time to time, like a virtual Freddy. Wikia seems a bit broken.

I'm not sure. If you're talking about the javascript-y popups on Wikia, there's an X button you must click to dismiss them. If that doesn't do the trick, try contacting wikia. In my experience they've been very responsive, although you'll need to first reproduce the issue in a "supported" browser (last I knew, IE > 8, recent Chrome but not Chromium, or recent Firefox but not other Gecko browsers). --Fritzophrenic 20:43, May 1, 2012 (UTC)
