Guidelines for submitting valuable tips
Please follow these guidelines to submit a valuable tip.
- Search the wiki to see if there is already a tip on your subject. Perhaps you can enhance that tip, instead of posting a new one?
- Titles should be easy to remember (short and precise). Only use characters and spaces for the title. Omit parentheses, punctuation etc.
- If your tip is new, fill out the template below with your content.
- For new tips, omit the rating section. This is for the old rating system from vim.org.
- Try to make the tip reproducible for everyone.
- Indent code sections with one space. This will make code look like <preformatted> text.
- Include version numbers / Operating systems etc. as appropriate.
- After some time all comments should find their way into the main tip.
- Add Category-Tags like [[Category:Plugin]] from the following categories. If apropriate add a new Category.
