*Is it worth keeping as a separate tip?

*Should it be merged into an existing tip? Which?

*If it should be kept, is it ready for release? Which points need fixing? Should it be renamed?

Proposed new tip Current consensus
Automatically maximizing gvim in sawfish Merged to VimTip88
Hex dump Keep
PHP Replace associative with object style notation Merged to VimTip1025
Periodic Commands in Background Keep
Update timestamp in dns zone file Merged to VimTip97

Automatically maximizing gvim in sawfish

Merged to VimTip88. A short tip, and no response to comment I left on the tip page. JohnBeckett 08:45, 19 April 2009 (UTC)

Hex dump

Keep I have renamed the tip (original title was "Hexdump2C"), and reworded to generalise and fix. We have no other tip on xxd or hex editing apart from the rather more complex Improved hex editing, so the reworked new tip can be the simple introduction. JohnBeckett 08:45, 19 April 2009 (UTC)

PHP Replace associative with object style notation

Merged to VimTip1025 with some other short PHP tips. JohnBeckett 11:22, 19 April 2009 (UTC)

Periodic Commands in Background

Keep I haven't tried it, but this is a neat trick if it works! JohnBeckett 08:18, 21 April 2009 (UTC)

Update timestamp in dns zone file

Merged to VimTip97 (I reworked the single-line mapping, added a bit of explanation, and put the result in the timestamp tip). JohnBeckett 08:18, 21 April 2009 (UTC)
